Outside Foundation
The Outside Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit founded in 2014. The Foundation strives for it’s mission through programs and advocacy. To facilitate access to the outdoors for all kids, The Foundation organizes and provides scholarships for the Kids in Kayaks program, which aims to get every 7th grader in Beaufort County out kayaking. In addition, The Foundation coordinates custom outdoor and give-back programming with local schools and clubs. An oyster shell recycling route, volunteer oyster baggings and reef building are also supported and organized by The Foundation. Additional Foundation activities include beach clean-ups, waterway clean-ups, and our annual Keep the Broad Creek Clean Festival.

Boys & Girls Club HHI
The Boys & Girls Club of Hilton Head Island was established in 1990 at Sandlewood, a local low-income housing project located on the Island. In 1999, a 29,000 square foot facility was built near the Hilton Head School complex off Gumtree Road, the cost of which was paid 100% from donations by local organizations and private donors. For over thirty years, the Club has served local children ages 6-18 with outstanding educational and recreational programs after school and all day in the summer.
No doubt there are vital needs for reading assistance and homework help, but grabbing a ball, coaching tennis, golf, basketball or soccer are also ways to lend support. Share your talents in music, art, dance or other forms of exercise. Spend time assisting with STEAM projects. Offer your brain trust in biology, computers and photography. Even whip up some cooking tips or stitch in a knitting seminar.
Play games, Zumba dance or just offer a teen some life skills. Find your voice and come speak at the Club to talk about your talents. Share yourself with the Club
For additional volunteer information, contact Volunteer Coordinator Pat Ruck at (843) 689-3646 or request via email.
