Pickleball is an easy game to learn, but a challenging game to master.
Every day of the week, except Saturday, the Palmetto Dunes Pickleball Center offers a Pickleball 101 clinic from 9-10 a.m. to teach players the essential strategies of this fast-growing sport.
The pros at the Palmetto Dunes Pickleball Center have taught approximately 4,500 people how to play pickleball over the last four years. Some players adapt very quickly — mostly those who have played other racquet sports — while others progress more slowly but assuredly.
This summer, we introduced a new series of clinics called the Daily Dose, which takes place weekdays from 9-10 a.m.
In this series, our pros take each day to focus on a different element of the game. On Monday and Thursday, the clinic concentrates on play at the no volley zone (NVZ). Tuesday covers how to transition to the NVZ. Wednesday focuses on the serve and the return of serve. Lastly, on Friday, the importance of playing as a team is reinforced to exploit opportunities.
If you are interested in improving your game, take the whole series. Don’t let yourself get overwhelmed. Find one or two things each day that are easy adjustments to improve your play. The foundational principles of the game of pickleball are essential. But, the nuances make all the difference, as you challenge yourself to improve your skill level.

Hope to see you on the courts soon!
