September is the best time for golf on Hilton Head Island.
September is the sweetest month to play golf, with low humidity, mild temperatures and gentle ocean breezes. The courses aren’t as busy as October, and the days are still long, with late sunsets at 8 p.m.
Everyone is able to enjoy golf. All ages and body types can participate, and all physical handicaps and ages are welcome.

Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort has three great courses and a Golf Academy that can help you reach your golf goals. We offer classes for juniors as well as Full Swing, Short Game, Ladies Only, Basics and After Work classes.
A 10-year-old girl hit a great shot, and I asked what life experience it’s like. She replied, “That shot was like effortless, like sitting in the recliner and my grandmother bringing me ice cream.”

Monday means free lessons at 4 p.m.
Make time to join someone and play a game. Be open to the exhilaration of a well-struck golf shot that effortlessly creates the beautiful flight of a white golf ball through the blue sky. On Hilton Head Island we have ocean waters and gentle breezes to add to the experience.
Engage in a game that requires imagination and creativity and enables your body to fluidly and gracefully swing the golf club. Enjoy learning something new that has proven to slow down arthritis, Alzheimer’s and many other problems with natural medicine like fresh air, sunshine and laughter.
Remember: today is the first day of the rest of your life. I hope to see you out on the green!
