I’ve been teaching this game of golf for a long time. Here are a few lessons I’ve learned from three of my favorite golf greats.
Put in the Work:
Lexi Thompson, 28-year-old LPGA Star, is the 7th lady to play in a PGA Tour Tournament. She puts in the work, even on her days off: breakfast, an hour of exercise, then 18 holes. Practice on skills needing attention. Lunch, an hour of putting practice, gym work, 18 holes of golf. This WORK regime lets her hit the ball as far as some PGA players.

See your Success:
Scottie Sheffler, the current number-one player in the world, says he doesn’t think about mechanics. He sees the ball do what he wants. Picturing the result, and visualizing the ball flight creates a feeling in his body that he trusts to tell his muscles what to do. “SEE it, feel it, trust it” is the phrase caddies often use as the player is preparing for the shot.

Strategize your Win:
Jon Rahm is a Spanish pro-golfer who has been number one in the world and is always close to the top. He is 6’2″ and strong. The Spanish Golf Federation sent him to the USA to develop his talents. Phil Mickelson predicted his success. But Jon played like the bull charging the matadors red cape and would get frustrated and tire out. He had to learn to strategize his play and control his energy and emotions. Now, he’s the matador using STRATEGY to approach his golf game and win.
