PASTURE TO PALETTE: NEW ART EXHIBITION AND RECEPTION FROM ARTISTS OF SEA PINES
The Artists of Sea Pines (AoSP) are excited to announce their third exhibition of 2026, “Pasture to Palette,” presented in collaboration with Lawton Stables. The exhibition offers a fresh perspective on equestrian art, extending beyond horses to celebrate the peaceful beauty of the stables, the playful personalities of its resident farm animals, and the tranquil trail rides that wind deep into the Sea Pines Forest Preserve.
An opening night reception will be held Wednesday, October 28, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Sea Pines Community Center Gallery, 71 Lighthouse Road, at The Shops of Sea Pines.
The reception is free and open to the public and will feature the return of the popular jazz trio Sharp Five. Light bites and beverages will be served.
As with all Artists of Sea Pines exhibitions, member artists donate a portion of their gallery sales to the Sea Pines Forest Preserve, helping support the preservation of the island’s treasured natural environment. Spotlight Artist: Bob Bellion who will generously donate one of his original works for a drawing held during the opening night reception.
While horses remain the centerpiece of “Pasture to Palette,” the exhibition captures the complete essence of Lawton Stables. Artwork will showcase the peaceful setting beneath towering, moss-draped live oaks, the playful energy of the stables’ resident farm animals, and the tranquil trail rides that are so popular with visitors.
“Lawton Stables is so much more than just an equestrian center,” organizers noted. “It is an island treasure where visitors can connect with nature and where residents can escape the everyday hustle. Whether you are bringing children to explore or seeking a quiet, magical place to reflect, this show brings that unique experience to life on canvas and through various artistic mediums.”
The exhibition offers visitors a visual retreat into the heart of Hilton Head Island’s natural beauty. Guests will have the opportunity to view and purchase original works by resident Artists of Sea Pines, celebrating the local landscape, wildlife, and serene, welcoming lifestyle that define the region.
“Pasture to Palette” runs through January 23, 2027. The Sea Pines Community Center Gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
