From outdoor bar and grills to indoor restaurants, the Sonesta takes pride in its dining options.
“The feedback that we receive from all of our guests on food quality has really been phenomenal,” Braken said.
There are four different restaurants in the resort, where guests can get everything from coffee with breakfast to seafood or steak or drinks at a bar.
Heyward’s Restaurant
Heyward’s serves breakfast and dinner infused with Lowcountry flavor. They offer everything from flatbread sandwiches, burgers, soups and salads, to filet mignon, lamb chops, seafood and pasta.
The raw oyster bar and the seafood platter are great ways to taste the island flair. Broiled lobster, grilled tuna and sautéed flounder meniere are a few of the savory seafood dishes offered in the evening.
Every Friday night there is a Supper Club Seafood and Prime Rib Buffet and on Saturday there is a Night Social Club with steaks, seafood and wine.
“In Heyward’s we have outstanding seafood, as well as steaks, and a delicious rib eye and sea bass,” said Braken. “Our chef really does a phenomenal job, taking pride in preparing the dishes for our guests.”
Seacrest Terrace and Patio
This restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating near the lobby. It’s the perfect place to grab a small lunch or evening appetizers and unwind. Guests can enjoy a fine glass of wine out on the patio or sitting by the fire.
Right when you walk into the hotel, you’ll see Bayley’s across the lobby. A dark, organic wooden bar curves around into the foyer. It transforms from a morning coffee stop to an elegant bar to sip evening cocktails.
Sweet Cane Bar and Grill
Sweet Cane is a seasonal poolside bar, where guests can grab refreshments while they are out soaking in the sun. It offers casual dining, happy hour promotions and weekly entertainment.
