Volunteers come from many different walks of life, ages and life experiences. Volunteer help is always needed at Second Helpings, Inc. A variety of tasks are available for volunteers, becoming a driver of a truck, helping on the trucks and special events support.

“Without our volunteers there would be no program,” says Second Helpings founder Guenther Hecht. “Our volunteers give their time and their efforts and they are the heart and soul of our project. They are very loyal and dedicated and we are very thankful for the service that they give the project.”

Second Helpings depends on volunteers to do the job of feeding the hungry in our communities. Groups or individuals are welcome. If you choose to become a volunteer, you can be assured that the proper training and orientation will be provided.
