Second Helpings recipients include various local child development centers, senior citizen centers, homes for the mentally challenged, churches and other charitable organizations. An estimated 2,000 people in Beaufort, Jasper and Hampton County benefit from the 4,000 pounds of food collected each day..

Second Helpings, Inc. distributes "more than 1 million" pounds of food and grocery products each year. This food goes to over 65 agencies (agencies are varied, and all are non-profit) in the 3 county region of Southeastern, South Carolina.
