Gullah Heritage Trail Tours depart from the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn, Tuesday-Sunday. Experience the Gullah culture of Hilton Head Island on a two-hour tour of 10 neighborhoods established during the Civil War. May 1 – 31:

May 2 & 9:

May 12:
The 34th annual Bluffton Village Festival coordinated by The Rotary Club of Bluffton will be held Mother’s Day weekend in Old Town Bluffton. The festival, commonly known as Mayfest will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy the art, music, food, The Ugly Dog Contest, kids’ activities and a chance to meet old friends and new ones! May 12:

May 19:
16th Annual Rib Burnoff and Barbecue Fest hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Hilton Head at the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn, 12-4 p.m. Professional and amateur chefs compete for the certified judges’ and popular vote with live music, kid’s activities and more. May 19:
All Saints Episcopal Church 25th Annual Garden Tour, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. “A Potpourri of Gardens” featuring eight of the island’s most innovative gardens. Ticket price of $30 includes a luncheon served in the church’s parish hall. A boutique, art sale, bake sale, gardening lecture, organ music presentation, as well as a flower arrangement demonstration will also be held. In addition, vendors will be located on the church common with a variety of plants and related items offered for sale. May 27 – 28:
The Hilton Head Choral Society presents “America Sings: An American Celebration,” 7 p.m. A concert of All-American music from colonial folk songs to patriotic tunes with a special salute to our Armed Forces.
